Gestalt therapy

Gestalt therapy takes into account all aspects of the human being: the body, the thoughts (mind), the handling of emotions and social relationships. This therapy enables deeper self-knowledge and helps to bring into consciousness what is experienced and felt here and now in connection with the past.

Gestalt therapy

Gestalt therapy is an integrative approach, which means that it has brought together different schools of thought and therapeutic methods, including Gestalt psychology, psychoanalytic research, phenomenology and existential philosophy.

The German word "Gestalt" means "shape" in the sense of "taking form", "organising", "building up".

This therapy is an analysis of the process of self and world presence and paves the way for the formation of flexible and adapted forms and for creative responsibility.

She is interested in how this interaction takes shape and tries to bring movement into a rigid, repetitive form.

The session lasts one and a half hours. The interval between two sessions is two to a maximum of three weeks.

Sequence of sessions in Gestalt therapy:

The sessions last one and a half hours. We work together on your inner conflict. The sessions can take place via video conference or in my practice.

How does a 1:1 session work?

Cell biologist Dr Bruce Lipton said: "I am free to change how I respond to the world. So if I change the way I see the world, I change my genetic expression. We are not victims of our genes, we are masters of our genes''.

Couples counselling

Couples counselling does not follow a specific protocol or process, but is the result of my meeting with you as a couple.

During the session, each person can express their conflict, whether it is in relation to their partner or their relationship as a couple.

The session lasts one and a half hours.

The various topics that can be discussed in the meetings:

  • The position of women in the partnership
  • The position of the man in the partnership
  • The position of the couple, in terms of, e.g. family, money, values, leisure time
  • The arrival of a child
  • External events that can destabilise the couple e.g. redundancy, unemployment, moving house, death, violence, addiction, loss
  • The place of sexuality in the couple

In the partnership, all the unprocessed hurts from childhood resurface. Various repeating cross-generational patterns also play a role.
